Cape Barren Island

Thank you to everyone at Cape Barren Island School, Judy Hunter (Principal) and colleagues made us very welcome on arriving at the island, with a cup of tea, a tour of the school and a chance to sit, relax and warm up in her classroom.

We were also made to feel very welcome at the Cape Barren Island Community Shop by Leanne who stayed open late to make sure we all got a hot pie and a cappuccino and then gave us back our money to add to our fund! Fantastic hospitality – anyone visiting Flinder’s Island should take time out to visit this wonderfull community.
